Lockdown 2 Resilience Tips - Day 26

I think it is fair to say that many of us are having to work a bit harder than we normally do in the current circumstances to maintain a positive outlook.

It can be helpful to remind yourself of all the challenges you have come through before in your life. Think what supported you to do that? How could you draw on that experience to help you now? What else could you do this time?

One way of proactively supporting ourselves is to pepper our days with little things that make us happy. Plan them in if that helps. What you choose will be what works for you. For me it would include feeding the birds; going for a walk; reading a few pages of a good book; chatting to a friend; having something nice to eat; stopping and doing nothing for a while. Once you know what works for you, you can choose to do those things to help raise your mood, as and when you need to.
